Christmas Concert with SCHOLA HEIDELBERG & the aisthesis consort at Peterskirche in Heidelberg

As every year, this one also comes to a close with our traditional Christmas concerts. It has been an eventful and wonderful year, during which SCHOLA HEIDELBERG and the ensemble aisthesis performed at the Beethovenfest in Bonn and the Ensems Festival in Valencia, among other venues, and the KlangForum also participated in major opera productions such as "Wenji" and "Der Fall Babel."

The two ensembles, SCHOLA HEIDELBERG and the baroque aisthesis consort, will perform works by contemporary composers and masters of early music at St. Peter’s Church, as well as at St. John’s Church in Mannheim and the Evangelical Church in Schriesheim. The programs of the ensembles SCHOLA HEIDELBERG and ensemble aisthesis, under the artistic direction of Walter Nußbaum, have been among the most sought-after in their genre throughout Europe for over 20 years.

"It’s truly something special to be able to escape the Christmas hustle and bustle for an evening. And I’m especially pleased that we can continue this tradition," says Walter Nußbaum, artistic director.
