In October of last year, a new digital concert experience was created thru a 360° video production. Together with the Berlin production company "Artvisit," SCHOLA HEIDELBERG created video and audio recordings that now allow the viewer to virtually place themselves in the middle of the ensemble during the piece of music. This is thanks to the latest technical achievements in the field of computer gaming. With the help of a VR headset (virtual reality), you can determine the direction in which you look – and thus also hear. The music was recorded in "3D" using so-called ambisonics microphones. Above the purely technical progress, however, is the fact that the contrapuntal texture of the music can be captured in all its architectural dimensions.

The result of this experiment will now be presented on April 23rd: live and digital, as the two works by Josquin des Préz and - commissioned specifically for this occasion - Sebastian Claren will be performed live in a talk concert. Before and after, the audience will have the opportunity to experience the digital version on-site with VR glasses.
