As the first contribution to this year's 2nd Biennale for New Music of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, the vocalists of SCHOLA HEIDELBERG, under the direction of Walter Nußbaum, will present three works in Heidelberg that had their world premiere at the Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik in April 2023:
"No instrument is as versatile as the human voice. The SCHOLA HEIDELBERG emphasizes this with calligraphically fine and cartoonishly bright pieces.
Vocal art and string play dominate the point at which the festival inevitably strives toward its finale. The SCHOLA HEIDELBERG enters the cartoon thicket of musical dummies by Benjamin Scheuer, pays homage to the transience of the mayfly with Yiran Zhao and prepares with Agata Zubel for the realization of the harmony of the spheres after a text by the Polish cult author Stanislaw Lem.
