Once again, the "Star Constellation: Human" theme opens up new universal, cosmic, or global perspectives; for the third concert in the series, the KlangForum Heidelberg has commissioned two new compositions: works by José Mária Sánchez-Verdú and Valerio Sannicandro will receive their world premieres, alongside "harmonic" works from early music and modernist classics.
In VOIDS for 6 voices and live electronics, produced in collaboration with the ZKM Karlsruhe, Valerio Sannicandro ventures to set the concept of emptiness itself to music. The sung text consists exclusively of the numerals 0 and 1, the “to be or not to be” of the digital age – albeit in thirteen languages and distorted by sounds from NASA.
The third part of the six-part concert series "Star Constellation: Human" is also made possible by the Klaus Tschira Foundation, KulturLabHD, the Innovation Fund for Art, and BASF’s cultural intervention, Tor 4.
