Johann Sebastian Bach forms the constant focal point of the "Perspectives" around the theme of "Boundlessness": The award-winning composer Lisa Streich will compose a new work for the Klangforum Heidelberg, whose instrumentation will be based on Bach's cantata BWV 103 "Ihr werdet weinen und heulen" from 1725. It will be exciting to see how the young Swede will take up the spiritual content of the cantata for Jubilate Sunday – the transition from deep sorrow to confidence and joy.
Concert without a break
A composition commission from the BIENNALE for New Music of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. In cooperation with ricordilab (Ricordi Berlin) and KlangForum Heidelberg
